The Bunny Knit Nightie is an easy-to-make baby layette that includes a nightgown accented with a shell edge, bib, blanket, and burp cloth. The gown is designed for knit fabric, has overlapping front and back shoulders for ease in dressing baby, and can be made as a sacqué. The bunny appliqué template and instructions are included. This classic layette makes for a well-loved baby gift that sews up quickly. This pattern is printed on paper with the pieces stacked/nested. The small pieces are quick and easy to trace.

PDF includes a layered 8.5x11" file, a 36" & A0 copy shop file, and your instructions. The layered file is printed on a home printer and will be taped together. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.

Moderate (2 Thimbles)

For the gown, use light to medium-weight stretch jersey knit with less than 35% stretch. The gown pattern is not suitable for woven fabrics. For the bunny, bib, blanket and burp cloth, use knit or woven fabrics like broadcloth or lawn.

• APPLIQUÉ: Lightweight fusible web (ex. Heat ‘N Bond Light or Wonder Under); tear away stabilizer; fabric an embellishment for appliqué
• GOWN: Elastic (1/4”) for optional sacqué – 1/2 yard
• BIB: Button (1/2”) for bib – 1; featherweight interfacing
