Pleating Services
We offer pleating services as described below. Custom orders can be made over the phone or in-store only. We have many pre-pleated items, such as our white 60" pleated inserts and pre-pleated garment kits available online. Additional pleating services can be made upon request.
Types of Pleating Services
Straight Yoke
Simple straight pleating for skirt/bubble pieces or inserts. Some patterns require multiple straight pleat sections. Starts at $8. Pictured: Lee
Full Bodice
We can pleat up to 24 rows. This will require cutting the dress front to your desired size. Starts at $25. Pictured: Olivia
Round Yoke (Cut, Sew, Pleat)
We will cut, sew, and pleat your project. Otherwise, sleeves must already be sewn in. Starts at $45. Pictured: Bishop
Important Note Our About Pleating Services
Some fabrics are not suitable for pleating and are as follows:
- We cannot pleat linen or silk.
- We cannot guarantee 1/16" gingham lines to be on grain, often times there is a moire effect. Consider micro instead.
- Lightweight fabrics, such as lawn, may require interfacing.
