Tate is a double-breasted jacket or coat for boys and girls with a pointed collar. View A is a preppy jacket with a softly-gathered skirt that covers the hip. View B works for both boys and girls with its A-line design hitting at the mid-thigh and a box pleat in the back for additional comfort. This versatile pattern will carry your child from school to any special occasion.
Size Range: 6mo-6 & 7-14yrs. See Measurement Chart for correct sizing.

Suggested Fabrics: Medium to heavy-weight fabrics such as twill, corduroy, wool, or velveteen for the coat. Light to medium-weight fabrics such as lawn, broadcloth, or flannel for the lining.

Buttons (5/8”) – 4 for sizes 6mo-12mo, 6 for all other sizes
Medium-weight interfacing – 1/4 yard

If you order a physical copy, you will be sent an unnested printed version of our pattern on tissue or paper with printed instructions.
If you select PDF, you are purchasing a digital PDF file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF includes a layered 8.5x11" file, a 36" & A0 copy shop file, and your instructions. The layered file is printed on a home printer and will be taped together. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.
