April is a dress perfect for May flowers inspired by the vintage pinafore. The bodice is framed with gentle ruffles and can be made with a smocked insert (View B). Unlike the traditional pinafore, April has a lined bodice, so it can be worn on its own while maintaining modesty. The back bodice has a wrap-around facing for a couture finish. The dress closes in the back with buttons, has a continuous bound placket, and can be made with an optional sash.

If you order a physical copy, you will be sent an unnested printed version of our pattern on tissue or paper with printed instructions.
If you select PDF, you are purchasing a digital PDF file which will be stored on your account to be downloaded at any time. PDF includes a layered 8.5x11" file, a 36" & A0 copy shop file, and your instructions. The layered file is printed on a home printer and will be taped together. Alternatively, you can send off the copy shop file to be printed full size. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.
